On Monday, October 30, the RCAF Foundation welcomed guests to the Centennial College – Downsview Campus at the Bombardier Centre for Aerospace and Innovation. Together, we celebrated the launch of a new publication, Pathway to the Stars: 100 Years of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Co-authors LGen (Ret.) Michael Hood, former RCAF Commander, and HCol Tom Jenkins shared stories from the book, which features 100 stories of the people, the planes, and the events that shaped the RCAF from 1924 to 2024.
Moderator Rob Black encouraged our co-authors and our guest speaker, Robert “Scratch” Mitchell, former RCAF fighter pilot / Snowbirds Team Lead, to share their unique stories of service with the Royal Canadian Air Force.
Thank you to all who joined us at Downsview in support of this book launch. Thank you to Downsview Aerospace Innovation & Research (DAIR) for their support of this event.
