On Monday, October 30, the RCAF Foundation welcomed guests to the RCMI’s Otter Room to celebrate the launch of a new publication, Pathway to the Stars: 100 Years of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Co-authors LGen (Ret.) Michael Hood, former RCAF Commander, and HCol Tom Jenkins shared stories from the book, which features 100 stories of the people, the planes, and the events that shaped the RCAF from 1924 to 2024.

LGen Eric Kenny spoke of how the success of the RCAF has always come from its people – the regular and reserve forces that are the “beating heart” of the organization. Moderator Kevin Newman encouraged guest speakers, Major General (Ret.) David Fraser and Robert “Scratch” Mitchell, former RCAF fighter pilot / Snowbirds Team Lead, to share their unique stories of service with the Royal Canadian Air Force.

Thank you to all who joined us at the RCMI in support of this book launch. Thank you to OpenText for their generous support of our Pathway to the Stars book launch events.
