On Monday, April 1st, we were thrilled to host Honorary Colonel Renee van Kessel, Deputy Commander Jamie Speiser-Blanchet, Chief Warrant Officer Janet Ekstrom, Commander Officer Sarah Lemay, RCAF Foundation Chair of Directors, Kristin Long, Members of the RCAF, scholarship students, and friends and family of the Foundation for a night at the Leafs Game at Scotiabank Arena.
We started the night off by inspecting the colours, which are an RCAF custom, where the flag that reflects the Air Force’s identity and is left in the guardianship of the Toronto Maple Leafs is examined by serving members.
Lots of fun, laughter, and celebration was had. We even managed to cinch a win against the Florida Panthers.
